HISTORY

The Ruusuniemi villa was designed by architect Keijo Petäjä. It was built in 1974 for Valmet’s conference and representative use. A beautiful sauna and pool area were added to the building by Keijo Petäjä’s son, architect Juha Petäjä in 1984, following the design and atmosphere of the original villa.

Over the decades, Ruusuniemi has hosted high-level meetings with leaders from both industry and international politics. The ownership of Ruusuniemi was transferred from Valmet to Wärtsilä in 1986, after which it has been used for example, the scene for conferences and training events of engineering company Metso.

Over the last few years, Ruusuniemi has been a popular venue for high-quality conferences and parties. Our experienced and skilled staff is here to make sure your needs and standards are met, and that your event will run smoothly and safely.

Come and enjoy Ruusuniemi’s excellent service and historical atmosphere!
