Ruusuniemi, a wooden villa designed by architect Keijo Petäjä, was built in 1974 for Valmet’s conference and representative use. In 1984, the building was extended with a beautiful sauna and pool area, designed by Keijo Petäjä’s son, architect Juha Petäjä. The extension respects and follows Ruusuniemi’s original design.
Throughout its early years, Ruusuniemi was visited repeatedly by top-level politicians and industry leaders from Finland and Russia. After Valmet and Rauma merged, Ruusuniemi continued to serve in conference use by the newly formed company, Metso.
We have now re-opened Ruusuniemi – as a modern, high-quality event and meeting venue that is suitable even for the most demanding needs. You’re warmly welcome!
